Located just away from Eastbourne’s main stretch is Royal Parade beach. This shingle beach is popular with both residents and visitors alike although usually somewhat quieter than the main Pier beach.

There are plenty of facilities here, including a wide promenade behind the beach which is popular with skaters, cyclists and runners. Royal Parade is also a good spot for kitesurfing and windsurfing, not to mention sailing with the local club right on the beach.

There is good access to the stretch of beach here along with plenty of parking. Toilets and refreshments are also only a short distance away.

Although Royal Parade is generally a very family-friendly beach please note that it not life-guarded.
