Deal Beach - Kent

Deal Pier, Kent

The present Deal Pier was built in 1957. 1026 feet long, it is built of reinforced concrete supported by concrete-encased steel piles. The pier head originally had 3 levels but because of a mix-up in the design calculations, bottom deck is permanently covered by the sea!
