Calshot Beach - Hampshire

Building at Calshot Activities Centre

The former RAF buildings at Calshot are now run by Hampshire County Council as an indoor and outdoor Activities Centre offering a wide range of activities including water sports, climbing, cycling and indoor skiing. This building, which is now used as an accommodation block for the Activities Centre, features a bas-relief of the Supermarine S.6B aircraft. The artwork was designed and created by Ken Leech in 1981 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Schneider Trophy air race air race held at Calshot in 1931.
