This lovely sandy beach has a reputation as being one of the cleanest in the area. Backed by rocks and grassy low rise cliffs, Fishermans Haven beach is located just a short walk from the historic town of Berwick-on-Tweed. There is a choice of paths down to the beach, one leading from Berwick Holiday Park with steps going down the cliffs to the headland.

The beach is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it an excellent location for a bracing walk to shake off the cobwebs at any time of year.  This part of the Northumberland coast offers a good opportunity for wildlife-spotting too.  Look out for ringed plovers, eider ducks and oystercatchers around the beach.  Visitors are sometimes lucky enough to spot seals, dolphins, porpoises and even the occasional basking shark in the waters off this part of the coast.
