Coves Haven Beach (Holy Island)

Coves Haven Beach (Holy Island) - Northumberland

This remote and little known sandy beach is located on the far (northern) side of Holy Island. Backed by high sand dunes there are steep cliffs at the eastern end, both of which provide shelter from the wind.

As the tide goes out the sand gives way to rocks and there are plenty of rock pools to explore.

Responsible dog owners are welcome on the reserve but dogs must be kept on a lead or at heel at all times (even on the beaches) to avoid disturbance to our birds and grazing livestock. These byelaws help protect the reserve.
